Mission Statement

We are a grassroots organization of like-minded gardeners, connected through a love of desert landscape and cactus. Our mission is to positively influence horticulture practices and promote water conservation in the Las Vegas Valley.

Since the spring of 2022 we have conducted semi-annual plant sales and neighborhood walking garden tours to educate and inspire the community of Southern Nevada to implement native flora and pollinator habitats.

We further our mission by providing educational workshops on vegetative propagation, seed sowing, irrigation, and best practices for plants and shrubs. Our community outreach program consists of helping our neighbors who may be physically or financially unable to make the yard transitions themselves and also to beautify public spaces with site and climate appropriate landscaping.

Our long-term goals are to provide a scholarship fund for future botanists, landscape architects and designers. We also aspire to continue working with local organizations to collaborate and provide K-12 school and community garden workshops.
